Resident: $180 / Non-Resident $216
STEM: Creative Engineering | 7 - 12 years
Let's get creative! How tall can you build a tower made of straws? How much weight can a bridge hold? Can you design a boat from aluminum foil? How many pennies will it hold before it sinks? Can you design a wearable piece of fashion? A monster? Let's follow the engineering process to design with all sorts of materials. Have a blast completing all the challenges!
Instructor: Dave Beatley

STEM: The Art of Science | 7 - 12 years
Let's make art with science! Can you make art with mushrooms? Yes. Invisible ink? Yes. Can you use Play-Doh and make a cast of a seashell? Yes. Make a bracelet from algae? Also yes. We'll use the Fibonacci number sequence to make beautiful, unique art and more!
Instructor: Dave Beatley

Resident: $180 / Non-Resident $216
STEM: Aircraft Engineering | 7 - 12 years
Let's find out what makes things fly! Each day we'll explore different aircrafts and what gives them lift and makes them go. Come make your own hot air balloon, airplanes, rockets, parachutes, helicopters, and kites.
Instructor: Dave Beatley

STEM: Plants, Animals & Bugs OH MY! | 7 - 12 years
"We Can Never Have Enough of Nature" - Thoreau
The world is full of many living things. Some move around like animals and bugs, while others spend their entire lives rooted in one place. A few are taller than a house and some are so very tiny that they cannot be seen with the naked eye. Plants, animals, and bugs - take these classes and find out what all of these living things have in common.
Instructor: Janis Wulgart

Resident: $180 / Non-Resident $216
STEM: BLAST OFF | 8 - 14 years
A rocket a day keeps the boredom away! Build a rocket model every day and learn about the parts of the Rockets. Become part of a launch team and help to make daily launches successful. With launch, team put together a launch pad and dress a rocket for take-off. Work together with friends or siblings in a rewarding camp for all.

STEM: Mini World In A Bottle | 6 - 12 years
Create a magical garden for your room by combining a mini eco system with plants. Plant your own seeds and watch them grow. Make a grass head just for fun. Learn about earth cycles and enjoy the wow factor of your own geodes. Experience a worm container and pet live worms. Pick plants, mix soil and using tools put together a mini world known as terrarium.

Engineering for Kids: Master Machines | 7 - 12 years
Gear up for an exciting week of mechanical engineering! In this camp, students will explore several of the mechanical forces that create movement in various machines. Students will work as mechanical engineers using EFK's Engineering Design Process to create exciting, hands-on projects that spin, cascade, launch, pivot, dig, and race. These projects will demonstrate fascinating concepts, such as hydraulics, friction, velocity, aerodynamics, acceleration, and mechanical advantage.

Resident: $240 / Non-Resident $288
Engineering for Kids: Lego Spike: Da Vinci's Design | 7 - 12 years
The robots in this unit will approach some of the designs of Leonardo da Vinci, taking a unique perspective by applying robotics principles to the challenges da Vinci faced. LEGO® EV3Robotics Program is designed to introduce students to both robot building as well as programming. The students will build robots to accomplish a specific task while using their imagination to make their robot better than the basic robot.

Engineering for Kids: Marine Engineering Making Waves | 7 - 12 years
Students use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and refine several types of marine based devices and vehicles. Students construct working prototypes that teach and reinforce the concepts of above water transportation, underwater exploration, and harnessing the power of water. They gain exposure to careers in naval. ocean, and marine engineering as well as naval architecture.

Engineering for Kids: Robo Battles: Lego Spike Prime | 7 - 12 years
It's time for robot basic training! Soldier bots need to be able to follow precise instructions to make it home from battle. In this camp, students will build, modify, and program a robot using the LEGO Spike Prime kit. They will learn to use motors and sensors to detect objects and assist in navigation. Then, they will use the EFK Engineering Design Process to complete a variety of basic training boot camp challenges with their soldier bots.
