Four Eights Artist Challenge

CALL TO ARTISTS: REGISTRATION OPENS JUNE 29 AT 9AM

Challenge Details: 

You, the artist, are challenged to create and complete four works of art on four 8”x 8” canvases for submission in the Four Eights Arts Challenge. What will you create? 

The reservation and supply fee  is $10 and is necessary for Four Eights participation. All participants must also use canvasses supplied by Sherwood Center for the Arts.

This wonderful annual exhibit has become a community favorite, showcasing pieces created during the Four Eights and Artists Challenge, which tasks participating artists with creating original artwork around a singular theme, on four, eight inch square canvases. Artists will be using a wide variety of media. The show will feature some returning artists that participated in the challenge previously, and some new artists.

All artwork will be for sale and priced between $20 and $100. What a great way to start or enhance your own art collection, as well as supporting local artists! The show closes on December 14th, and that is when purchased artwork may be picked up.

This show will be on display, October 8 - December 14, 2026.
