Come enjoy the next exhibit at the Center for the Arts! The Four Eights Gallery Reception will occur on Thursday, October 7th from 6:00-8:00 p.m., and is free and open to the public. Meet the artists, curators and other art lovers, enjoy refreshments and live acoustic music in the lobby. This wonderful annual exhibit has become a community favorite, showcasing pieces created during the Four Eights and Artists Challenge, which tasked participating artists with creating original artwork around a singular theme, on four, eight inch square canvases. Artists will be using a wide variety of media.
This year the exhibit will showcase 34 artists who have taken the challenge to create 4 unique artworks by October 4th. That means 136 artworks will be on display at the Sherwood Center for the Arts, in time for the opening reception, on Thursday, October 7th. The show will feature some returning artists that participated in the challenge previously, and some new artists.
All artwork will be for sale and priced between $30 and $100. What a great way to start or enhance your own art collection, as well as supporting local artists! The show closes on December 6th, and that is when purchased artwork may be picked up.
This show can be viewed in-person Monday-Friday between 9am-1pm, starting Monday, October 4 through Monday, December 6, 2021.
New Gallery Hours: Monday- Friday between 9am - 1pm. **No appointment necessary**
