SUMMER CAMP COUNSELORS WANTED!

 

Introducing Art smART: a series of half-day and full-day summer camps held at the Sherwood Center for the Arts! Spend your summer immersing yourself in activities that enhance your creativity and connect you with others.

Summer Day Camps will be held Monday through Friday, led by a skilled team of teaching artists, enthusiastic instructors, and professional camp staff. Join us for one week, two weeks, three weeks, or all four! An unforgettable summer awaits.

Morning session: 9:30 am-12:30 pm

Afternoon session: 1:00-4:00 pm

A supervised lunch period for All-Day campers will be held 12:30-1:00 pm.

Acting, Video Game Design, Musical Theatre, Bucket Drumming, Mixed Media Art, Painting, Shakespeare, Cupcake Décor, Harry Potter camp, Photography, Gaming—there is something for everyone!

DAY CAMPERS should bring a sack lunch, a water bottle, and healthy snacks. Please wear close-toed shoes or sports sandals, and clothing that allows for movement and creative play; no flip-flops.

 

HOW TO REGISTER:

  • Pick your week (or weeks);
  • Look at your options: note the age range and the art focus of each camp;
  • Choose whether you are staying for a morning, an afternoon, or all day! All-Day campers should pick one class for the Morning, and one for the afternoon; that will be your class for the full week.
  • Create an account at sherwoodcenterforthearts.org, and sign up!

REGISTRATION:

Please note: you must register separately for each class. Pricing for each class may vary, as it is set by the instructors. There are MORNING, AFTERNOON, and a handful of ONE-DAY options. When registering your child, please note the specific age groups served. If you need help registering your child, we are available every weekday to assist you.

 

SCHOLARSHIPS:

We believe the arts should be accessible to everyone! Thanks to the Friends of the Center for the Arts, there are scholarship funds available to students and families who want to take classes here. CLICK HERE TO APPLY.

 

LOCATION:

The Sherwood Center for the Arts is located in historic Old Town—a safe, walkable, vibrant neighborhood in the heart of Sherwood. We are across the street from family-friendly Cannery Square, and kitty-corner to the Sherwood Library.
