Come enjoy the newest exhibit at the Center for the Arts! The Hot-Shot Gallery Opening reception will occur on Friday, July 22, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., and is free and open to the public. Meet the artists, curators and other art lovers, enjoy complimentary refreshments and live acoustic music in the lobby. This summer exhibit showcases work from a community-wide disposable camera challenge, and will run thru October 7. Both professional and beginning photographers were encouraged to take on this challenge armed with only an old-school disposable camera and their creativity. Come and see the quirky, whimsical and innovative ways the photographers used their 35mm film! The gallery will also be featuring art from the Photography Challenge.
The 2016/17 Gallery season is curated by Makers 5 Artists Collaborative, comprised of artists in Oregon with a mission to locate and provide venues that enable artists to share their works with the public. The group is open to collaborate with other Artists groups in the Oregon and Washington area. If you are interested in participating in a future exhibit, please visit the Center for the Arts website or Makers5.com for open artist calls.
