Gallery Opening: Four Eights an Artists Challenge II

Come enjoy the next exhibit and art sale at the Center for the Arts! A reception for Four Eights an Artists Challenge II will occur on Thursday, October 12 from 6:30-8:30 p.m., and is free and open to the public. Meet the artists, curators and other art lovers, enjoy refreshments and live acoustic music in the lobby. This exhibit will showcase pieces created during the Four Eights an Artists Challenge II, which tasked participating artists with creating original artwork around a singular theme, on four, eight inch square canvases. Artists will be using a wide variety of media. All artwork will be for sale and priced between $30 and $100. What a great way to start or enhance your own art collection, as well as supporting local artists!

This year the exhibit will showcase thirty artists who have taken the challenge to create 4 unique artworks by September 29th. That means 120 artworks will be on display at the Sherwood Center for the Arts, in time for the opening reception, on Thursday, October 12th. The show will feature some returning artists that participated in the challenge last year, and some new artists.
