MUSIC CAMPS

Bucket Brigade | 8 - 14 years
Attention future drummers and percussionists! The Bucket Brigade wants you! Learn choreography, drumming technique, and play rhythm games in this week-long drumming camp. All skills levels welcome. Buckets and drumsticks will be provided. Become part of this new drumming ensemble!

Calling all who love music! Sing, compose, create instruments, and dive into MUSIC with award-winning, multi-disciplinary performing artist Laila Murphy.  Have fun while honing your music skills through rhythm games, theatre games, and a sprinkling of Broadway. Explore and create with fellow music-lovers in this encouraging space!

Beginner Strings Camp! | 7 - 14 years 
Dive into the exciting world of ORCHESTRA—violins, violas, string basses and cellos! This brand new camp offering engages students in hands-on learning of strings instruments, receiving expert instruction and guidance from Sherwood Youth Symphony director Ken Sceirine. Through music games, enrichment activities, and instrument playing, students will gain valuable ensemble skills and develop new friendships.

New to strings? A limited number of instruments are available for campers to borrow during Strings Camp. Students who own an appropriately-sized instrument are encouraged to bring this instrument to play during camp.

Advanced Strings Camp! 8 - 99 years
Summer String Ensemble Camp! This is a great chance to dust off your instrument and join us for the joys of playing in a string ensemble! A week full of playing, learning and performing! Students must have one year of previous experience playing their instrument. All ages welcome.

SUMMER MUSIC CLASSES

Try Piano
4 Weeks | 7 - Adult  
Explore the world of music through piano! This accessible class is geared towards absolute beginners. Learn the basics of piano: proper technique, note reading and music terminology in a fun, un-intimidating atmosphere. Students are welcome to bring their own portable keyboard, or use one that we provide.
