Kim grew up in the Willamette Valley and started out studying Early Childhood Ed, eventually completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Family, Human, and Consumer Development, with an emphasis on Human Development. In 2008 she started taking photography classes through Chemeketa Community College and Parks and Rec programs, as well as regional workshops. Kim graduated from Rocky Mountain School of Photography’s Summer Intensive program in 2010. “My focus, as a photographer, is on Maternity, Birth, and Newborn photography, as well as Fine Art photography”.
Kim has been an Artist in Residence, won an international photography competition, displayed work in art galleries, and photographed over 500 newborn babies. “I believe in intentional art with happy accidents. Through knowledge, planning, and practice, we open the door for magic to happen”.
